Well, finally I have quit my first job. It was an scintillating experience working for a first time as a software developer, basically a web developer. It was on 20th Aug 2007 when I joined my ex company. I was already late my an around of 20 days for the training provided for freshers by the company.I was among the 13 other entrants.

I was knowing nothing of the kind of job i was to handle as I was a fresher passout from my engineering degree in IT. Well, the training had already started and things started getting easy for me as the days passed on. I was coping with the tasks thought. So also my grasping power was growing.I was learning!!!

Finally the training was all over and We all were ready to work. Its was a pressure time. knowing nothing of how to adjust. It was early 9:30am and we all were divided into teams. Everyone wanting to belong their favourite team leaders., These were the same people who instructed us during the training period.I was lucky enough to belong to my favorite Team Leader Mr. G.

We were handed over our appointment letters along with our salary account forms (bank acccount). Days passed on and I started getting smarter and clever in handling the tasks .Above all was a main technical leader Ms S. She was a dam strict lady who believed in maintaining the deadline, perfection and quality. It was like a rule being followed by all of my colleagues and obviously even by myself. But not later as times passed on we started getting friendly with our strict leader Ms S. Since then it was an casual relation between us and Ms S. She was actually a very nice person and only appeared to be one professionally. She had no ego problem I must say.

Everything was going good, but one day we went by surprise to see an around 6-8 people leaving the company.Ohh gosh!! we were all nervous. To see many of our colleagues leaving the jobs and me still at the same place. But I kapt myself cool as I was only 8 month old experience in the field. So sooner that my TL Mr G. also decided to leave the job. Now that was disappointing .I was already 1 year and 5 month by now. It was boring to see my TL who was more of friend than a professional leaving the job. He also had his own career intentions. After a months time a new TL was appointed. He appeared to be friendly with me.He was still associated with me till the time I left. But in mean time some faces had already joined in. Since I am known to be of a friendly nature. U guys must have concluded by now.

We were shaken to see when our main TL Ms S. decided to quite. Now this was something unbearable . It was frustrating to see others leaving and me at the same place even after 2 years of experience. I never worked for late hours. As there was never a need to stay overtime. I never earned overtime income. It was only once I earned my full income.

By now most of my collegues who had joined after me had left. I also had to grow myself and be serious about my career. Finally decided to quit my job. I was not enjoying my self working in there. I started believing in context as stated my an IT legend of our country “Love Your Job But Never Fall In Love With Your Company, Because You Never Know When It Stops Loving You. “

Yah, Its time to say tata bye bye to maruti 800.Also known by a local tagname as Maruti car. What a legendary its been for that wonderfull cheap poor mens car.Till now 27 lakhs units of the car have been sold.

Maruti has finally decided to phase out 800 from major cities of india which constitutes a one the major automobile sectors. This was announced as a result Bharat stage 1V norms were being bought in.The car that bought with itself a sort of Automobile revolution. A standard to the automobile industry which was no where in place in india. With leading car brands of that time just manufacturing the cheap quality vehicles. It was the introduction of this little baby that bought about a quick evolution (revolution) in AUTO sector and and also about in an economic boom in India .The Maruti 800 was introduced as a result of joint effort between Maruti and Suzuki Motor Co of Japan in 1983. The first Maruti 800s were sold for a then princely sum of Rs 48,000. The car was still available in its base model for merely Rs 1.80 lakhs until the company stopped producing it in april 2010.

Its certainly been an inspirational vehicle for each and every Indian. No Indian who owns a car would like to mark a bad comment on this little cookie. Such car it was. The cheap in price, cheap in maintenance, comfort, reliability. It was like a dream come true for most of the scooter rider seeking to own a car.

It was in 1994 my father bought a navy blue colored maruti 800. We had been using Fiat before that. It took a booking period of 5 months for the car to arrive. So much was the demand and respect for it. I was a little kid that time studying in primary school I was all excited to see my favourite car of that time (Its still my favorite). But the nostalgia of those moments still remains. Its been 15 years now we own it and that too in the same first hand condition. I still enjoy driving our car to the same extent it was for my father 15 years back when he bought it brand new. Such is the cars craze and charisma.many of my friends used to tease me when I always used to praise and admire our dear car. they always used to taunt me saying 800 is not safe. But I never had those comments affect my love and affection towards this humble little car.

But the time has changed now. People are interested in more more high tech , more luxury cars.

I would really, like this car to be remembred as a legendry vehicle , the same way as Wolkswagon Beetle. A people’s car that was capable of transporting three children and two adults at speeds of sixty miles-per-hour.

I feel that people will remember 800 for ages.

Today I saw the new version of Mile Sur mera tumhara. the song based on Indian Integrity and the whole concept of “Unity in Diversity”, But really dissapointed to see the new version just focussing on Bollywood, Mumbai,Filmstars.

The new composition is a mess. Its a total bloody mess. The song does not focuss on the main important aspects of our countries progress, culture, tradition, religions.Where are all the great personlaities of our nation? the greatest monuments of our country, the resources, the culture.I could highlight the following weaknesses in the composition.

1.I am being a little partial in saying this first .being a Goan by origin .There is No Goa Shown. There is no Kashmir, No Assam, No Kerala.

2.No taj mahal the only world acclaimed wonder of our country

3.No lata mangueshkar

4.No mention of chandrayaan. One of our bigger scientific achievements of the decade!

5.Very poor deepika and ranbir.Deepika wearing a fancy sleeveless dress and dancing in water on hills, Is this the actual Indian culture? and after all no video is complete without the hyped kapoor’s in india.

6.Amir khan shooting a tare zammen par? Sharukh khan acting like knight rider promo add.Salman as usual showing off his Body. Too much of focus on Khan’s.

7.The dance composition of Shiamak Davar and Kuchipudi was done in real bad taste

8.Showcasing Only Mumbai and the highliting the bandra worli sea link. As if this is the only flyover bridge in the world.

9.No hint of Cricket.

These are only some weeknesses. There are lots. Very sorry that we are not progressing but going back to a non developed state of whay back in 1950’s when India first initiated its republic day.The film looked to show a confused india and not a developing India, progressing India. The older video still looked new and much tender than the new one.No match betwwen the older and new. That is why we always tend to say

OLD is GOLD

I was left very sad for this years Republic day. the 60th Republic day.

Please comment more and more

Yesterday I saw the much appreciated movie in animation industry, Sita Sings the Blues. The movie written ,produced and directed by an American artist Nina Paley. The film is completely based on oldest Indian Hindu Epic Ramayana and its modern transition towards todays lifestyle.
Built through computer 2d graphics , with traditional indian puppet shows effects the film is a complete masterpiece. But I had a different feedbacks from the audiance when I attempted to show it to some of my well educated and religious believers collegues. Each had a different views regarding the movie. Some said it was good, some said what is shown of ram and sita is true in reality, some commented on the graphics and innovation while Some even said That it is a vulgar ramayan.
Ok let us assume for sometime that this is a vulgar ramayan.

The film did not expose any vulgarity on the side of Ram and Sita. It was a modern Ram and Sita on the other side that relates itself to the very authentic realistic characters, it is the western version of sita (the Jazz Singer,Annette Hanshaw). The movie I guess never made an attempt to expose the vulgarity of Sita, as the majority of the movie is based on Sita.

But even if we consider this as a vulgar we As a indian’s have lost a right to comment on this.Because it was our Own Government who was out to prove it judicially that Ram was an imagination and Ramayan is a mythological story. All set to destroy Ram sethu. And This movie being an american made clearly proves itself that Ram was a reality and Ram Sethu Does exists. Even the Valmiki teachings in the movie where he makes luv and kush learn to sing the songs to praise ram is
shown as how todays valmiki would have thought to luv kush. That’s what is to be learned from this movie.

Anyways it does Depend on the viewers point of view. But least better than the non belief people shows towards Lord Shri Ram and Goddess Sita.

Does this interest you to see this movie? well its available for free to watch and download on their official site. click here

Welcome to my first post of the year. I was unable to post anything due to some technical reason. Sorry for that. But anyways as we say. Bad things happens quickly,Good things takes time to happen and all great things happen all at once.

Last saturday after the office I planned to visit the much awaited a one lakh baby from TATA. the nano.I gota chance to take a glimpse of it at a nearest showroom to my office.I was eagerly waiting to see it in relality. as what we had been looking was only through envision. Everyone asking me,you buying tata nano? Finally visited and admired the engineering innovation in the automibile history of India. I managed to capture it into photo’s and wish to share with you all

that's the pleasure

Although i dint get a chance to drive around with it. But still had a seat and feel of the car. The great interiors. Spacious leg space, and smooth gears (that’s without driving). What I missed most was the look at engine and its firing. It was just a touch and feel. But still a satisfaction at the end of trip. So what? When are you making it to nano? go ahead and share your experiences with me!!!

Its time to say Good Bye to the eventful year of 2008. This would be my last post of the year . So lets check on the highlights of it.

There are few to countless things what we achieved in 2008. Few we can recall might be the folllowing.

Recessions and World Economy: The year started with a weak growth of economy around the world. The main root tends to be the real estates and money lenders. It all started with the buyers inability to finish their payments. So Next were the banks and insurers like AIG to suffer. Fuel prices reached the sky. almost to $140+ per barrel.

India achieved a great milestone all appreciation to TATA. Launch of 1 Lakh darling,TATA NANO. a 625 CC car known to peoples car claimed it self to be the world cheapest car. Hats off to Mr. ratan TATA.

The major sector that was affected most were th IT sectors losing around 60K jobs in India and more than that abroad countries. Automobiles giants like GM and FORD plans to close their units. Sales affected in India too.

Sports and Olympics:

This years olympics brought about a lot of changes with it. yes. This was time India achived in medals tally. Good enough to keep a stand of a country who never made it to olympics before. Abhinavbindra with his glittering gold, vijendra singh with boxing bronze, wrestler Sushil Kumar won the bronze

Vishwanathan Anand wins world title after vanquishing Vladmir Karmik. Anil Kumble and Saurav Ganguly retired. The monkey Controversy of hrabajan singh and Australian andrew symonds.

Science and technology

First time in the history of India ISRO launched its first unmanned mission to moon called Chandrayaan , launched successfullyon 22nd October from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota. .India becomes the 5th nation in the world to join the club of moon landers.

Politics: The biggest politica dramas. Gujjars protest against vasundara , and violant protest by mamata against TATA for nano plant in singur. But Did those people achieve anything in return or was it just a spark in the fuel?

But BJP got it in Karnataka . That was a huge victory for them, Then came the Gujarat, Modi did it again. Rajhastan Got Congress whereas MP and Chattisgarh too got BJP. Delhi showed their full almighty support towards sheila.

Internationa issue : Barrack Obama wins the US presidenatial elections beating his rival John Mccain. Again a woman culdnt make it to the president status in US. Hillary withdrawing from the race, making way for obama to clean win it.

The Bravery: Thats the most important of all of the above. The Mumbai Terror attacks at Taj, trident , nariman, VT station(CST), leopold cafe. killing around 180 people. and the bravery of the Police, Army, National Security Guard (NSG) commandos who reflexed their brave guts and character to again prove it to our neighbours rivals that we are simply not called Indians and hindustanis. I salute The Brave secutity person of our countries who stand hard in front . when our countries economic city were in threat. Anyone reading this blog if you not gona read this then u r insulting urself and your patriotism.

Lets Salute them all

Yes, He is great I am speaking of a great personifying character India has ever got. The place where people worship cricket. People like him makes a point to prove that. I am speaking of none other than the sensational bowler of our time Mr. Anil Kumble.

Kumble’s announcement of retirement from Indian Cricket was a big jolt to the Indian cricketing Industry !!!

What a cricketer was he. A great googlier and Legbreaker . He was not a great spinner of ball but his unique tricky style bowling was a sharp knife for many. This great man has always given his 100% in whichever game he played.i still remember those days in 1996 world cup that he was the only spinning hope when India was lacking spinning talent. He was the guy who grew the spinning tradition. His spell of 10 wickets v/s Pakistan in Delhi in year 1999 would always be a moment to remember. That was a master piece of excellence and accuracy. Whatever it may be, Whether it be the broken jaw v/s west indies or the titan cup finals parternship with Javagal Srinath. He was always there. The only gurranted bowler cum batsman of India. I have a very beauty collection videos of this great personality.

Diwali "The festival of light" which marks the victory of good over evils,is celebrated by almost all the communities across India.Whether be it Hindu’s, Jains,Sikhs. Or it may be Region wise North Indians and South Indians. But the reasons for which it is celebrated varies from region to region . The delicious dishes of Fauv (kandyantle fauv, Dudatle faiv, Kalayle fauv) are usually prepared on this day. I managed to find from my parents and grandparents as to what are actual reasons of celebrating this colourfull and bright festival of lights.

1.Return of Lord RAM to Ayodhya after their 14 years of excile and victory and killing of Ravana in Lanka. This was the day when the people of Ayodhya met a grand welcome for their king back to the kingdom. The day was full of lights and colours glittering all the ways. The city of Ayodhya was all prepared for with the musical harmony and diyas all over.

2.The Killing of demon Narkasura by Lord Krishna, This was the day when lord krishna vanished the demon who had abducted around 16000 Gandharv princesses. The evil power of this terror evil was creating havoc for the innocent people on earth. So Lord krishna gave sure short solution for this by killing the demon with his universal sudarshan chakra. So people celebrated the killing by lighting diyas and people lit up their houses with beautiful and bright lanterns and diyas. This was called the dhakti diwali.

Being a Goan i would like to comment on the fact that why we Goans celebrate the diwali with the killing of Narkasura and why krishna so much associated with Goa?? I was always curious to know about this fact. I managed to search for enough matter on this.

As per the Hindu Epic Mahabharata (written in 1000-500 BC) mentions Goa as Gomantak, which means a fertile land.

visit to Gomant by Shri Krishna as mentioned in one of the chapters of puranas.

List of days Diwali celebrated in Goa.

First Day: Dhanatrayodashi, on this day all the sources of wealth are worshipped mostly by the merchants.

Second Day: Narkachaturdashi, The day where the effigies of the evil Narkasura are burnt to mark its killing and defeat of evil.

Third Day: Laxmi pujan, Worshipping of Goddess laxmi for prosperity in wealth, luxury, power, fertility, beauty, etc.

Fourth Day: VarshaPratipada that marks the coronation of King Vikramaditya. On this day Newly wed females come to their parents place along with their husbands.

Fifth Day: Bhaubeej / Bhav-Bij, this Festivals resembles to one of the famous festives of India, raksha Bandhan. On this day a sister worship her brother with Arati. Here it is said that The brother plays the role of Lord Krishna who killed Narkasura.Sister pours him with wishes and blessings of long and healthy life. The brotther offers gifts and presents or sweets in return.

The fourteenth day is celebrated as Tulsi Vivah (Tulsi lagna). This festival is also known as Whadli diwali. People perform a wedding of The tulsi plant planted in Tulsivrindavana outside their house. Branches of sugarcane, tamarind and amla are planted along with tulsi plant in Tulsivrindavana. These poojas are usually performed late in the evening.
